Over the Bridge!

The jurying for the 2011 Long Beach Quilt Exhibit is complete!

Thanks to all for submitting your quilts the the BRIDGES exhibit.  Jurors were Connie Rohman, SAQA and Matthew Leslie, Muckenthaler Cultural Center.

The jurying was blind (without artists' names).  They were each provided with "booklet" consisting of a photo of the quilt, title and artist's statement.  The jurors examined all quilts as they were held up vertically.  This process took 2 hours, and their subsequent discussion between just the 2 of them was more than 2 hours.  They did not take the process lightly.

The following artists were chosen:

 Laura Bisagna
David Charity
Partricia Charity
Carol Churchill
Linda Friedman
jo p. griffith
Skip Heller

Rose Hughes
Stacy Hurt
Lisa Kijak
Helene Lohr
Julie Schlueter
Beth Shibley
Deborah Stanley
Linda Stone
Mary Tabar
Janet Lane Tranbarger
Susan K. Willen
Eileen Wintemute
Sally Gould Wright

I thank you all so very much for all your talents.

New in Members area

Howdy members! Hope everyone is enjoying time in the studio during this weird weather. It has been raining and sunny off and on all day in Temecula. Nice time to hunker down and do some hand work.

I had Heather update the website. A "Reports" section was added to the members area. I have put the minutes, exhibition reports and other similar things under this heading.

The "Forms" area will now only have the entry and membership forms. This is also where you will find things like the membership list and bylaws.

This should make it faster and easier to find what you are looking for. Current items will always be at the top of the listing.

Hope you approve the new layout.
